Israeli forces launched a counter-attack in the Gaza Strip after the Palestinian armed group Hamas launched an unprecedented attack inside Israel on October 7 (Saturday).  In this, the ongoing tension between the two territories of the last few decades has turned into a war.  Which practically divided the world into two camps.

Iran’s top leadership has reiterated its support for the Palestinian militant group following Hamas attacks in Israel.

However, Iran has denied involvement in the attack.

“The Zionist regime’s own actions are responsible for this disaster,” Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei said on Iranian television after Saturday’s attack.

According to a Reuters report, he said: “We kiss the hand of those who plan to attack the Zionist regime.”

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian tweeted on Saturday from his X account, calling the recent violence “a fitting response to years of crimes and murders”.

In a televised speech, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi referred to the incident as a “victory for the Palestinian army and all Palestinian parties”.

Then on May 11 Mr. Raisi and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman discussed the need to stop war crimes against the Palestinians over the phone. Tehran’s state media reported this news.

After the attack, Hamas spokesman Ghazi Hamad told the BBC that it carried out the attack with the support and assistance of Iran.Iran’s top leadership has reiterated its support for the Palestinian militant group following Hamas attacks in Israel.
